Daily Painting Acrylic Painting 'School's Out'

Comment on this
Greetings,

Progress is a wonderful thing I think!  And I do believe I made some today.  I keep a file (make that a big file) called the "next painting" which is really just a stash-place for all those great ideas I have not yet gotten to :)  I spent the morning working there, sketching, cropping, un-cropping, rotating,  color-izing, de-colorizing---you get the picture.

Afternoon was paint slinging time, and it all landed on the current easel mounted target 'school's out'.  This one is fun.  Today I added the sprite of a girl in a swirly white dress way off in the background.  The original plan was that she was a school escapey that just wasn't in the mood to read a book.  But now that she's there, and I spent some more paint-time on the two readers in front, I think she has turned into a magical character in one of the books they are reading, dancing off in the distance of their imaginations.  Too many paint fumes?---nah, I once was one of those kids that inhaled books and know what a good imagination can do for your attitude!

Time for some popcorn.
Later, Cooper
