Greetings,
Welcome to the Cooper studio, freshly returned to Lipetsk from Iowa. Wouldn't it be grand if the trip didn't take 20ish hours?! But all's well, I'm returned, and back in the studio :)
Prior to the Iowa trek, I had just signed a painting (you may translate that as "it's finished") and yes, I will add it to this brief message.
But may I make an observation first?
Folks always worry about the winter weather in Russia. Stop that! Television/movies/the media all want to lead you astray in that category. We have found the weather in Lipetsk to be kind of like a mellowed version of Iowa weather, with less wind. I have not experienced Siberia weather, maybe that's what all the frigid-weather stories are about, but I can verify, that's not how it is on this side of the country.
But that's info, not the observation I wanted to make (!!) HERE'S the observation:
While I was traveling, spring happened on both continents! Iowa and Lipetsk got it at the same time! Now how perfect is that??
I'm celebrating!
And here's a painting for you - and memories of an even better season :)
Yup. Summer!

Garden Party! An oil on canvas painting measuring in at 40 x 80 cm. And your handydandy link to that marvelous zoom feature is available with a simple click.
Enjoy! And thanks for stopping by.
Later, Karen
