Exhibit Forthcoming!
Greetings,
Welcome to the Cooper studio!
Oh, wait. No. No studio within shouting distance. In fact, the studio is quite a few miles distant at the moment. And after our recent travel schedule, we are all glad that I can still remember (vaguely) where it is. AND where I am :) Anyway.
Merry Christmas! And a good reason to be back in Iowa for a couple of weeks :) How many people CAN we visit and celebrate with on this 2 week sojourn? A bunch, and still counting! We are going to make some NEW acquaintances as well. And for an excellent reason.
Here's your exhibit announcement!
Earlier, just this month, I got word that two of my paintings have been accepted into an upcoming exhibit!

By now, I know you are absolutely exhausted with waiting, for me to tell you which paintings will be there! Here goes:

How Soon Before I'm Too Old For A Duck Backpack?
Yes, it's my commentary on girls in between - no longer little, but not grown up yet either. I spotted this particular group of school friends in one of my favorite Lipetsk places, Bykhanov Park.
The painting is a pleasantly sized 24 x 24 inch canvas, oil painting on stretched canvas. Narrow profile stretcher, finished edges. Frame or not, as you choose.
And then upping the size/scale a bit:

Bykhanov Park Pigeon Feeders
Yes, also from Bykhanov Park, a pair of Lipetsk citizens enjoying their morning.
And of note: I was actually able to have a bit of conversation with these ladies. My Russian language studies must be progressing. (!!!)
This canvas, also finished edges on a narrow profile canvas, measures in a 31 x 27 inches.
There you have it! I hope you get a chance to stop by the gallery and visit.
And thank you for visiting my blog!
Later, Karen
